radio broadcast journalism placements

Radio placements in Tanzania

Our radio placements are based at the same large media company in Arusha. The station currently broadcasts to a large part of Tanzania, including Arusha, Kilimanjaro, Manyara, Tanga, Singida and Dodoma regions. The media company has plans to extend this coverage nationwide and you can be involved in the expansion plans of the station.

The station mainly broadcasts a number of news, current affairs and entertainments programmes in Swahili but there are some segments produced in English. You will be able to work as a broadcast assistant, helping with producing, editing, script writing and research. There will also be opportunities to gain experience presenting the English language segments.

Accommodation on this project is with families, usually sharing with another volunteer. You will be joined in Arusha by others on our medical, teaching and business projects. For more click here>>
